Our Services

At the Lasalle Veterinary Clinic, we believe that quality preventative medical care will enable your little friend to lead a long and healthy life.

Preventive Medicine - An annual examination is a must to identify certain conditions quickly and to minimize their impact on the health of your animal. During this physical examination, the veterinarian will check the eyes, ears, nose, mouth, teeth, glands, hydration, abdomen, heart, lungs, skin, joints and temperature. She will question you concerning your animal's general health condition as well as his behaviour at home.

The veterinarian will discuss with you the vaccination program: many vaccines are available and will be suggested to you depending on your animal's lifestyle. The health of your pet is directly linked to the quality of his feeding habits. We have set up various services to inform you on animal foods:

  • Weight control program
  • Workshop 2 – Food and its influence on your animal's health, don't have an indigestion because of it!
  • Free one-on-one meeting with an animal health technician
  • Boutique offering a complete selection of quality food

Surgery - Surgeries take place at the Lasalle Veterinary Clinic. We use ISOFLURANE, a gas which is easily eliminated via the liver and kidneys and safe for geriatric animals. An animal health technician will attend to your animal from the moment it is given its pre-medication, during surgery and when it awakens. Specially designed cages are provided in our pre-op room; thus we are able to keep a constant eye on your animal. With the help of heating pads, we maintain your animal's temperature which we monitor during and after surgery. While under anesthetic, your animal is monitored by a pulse oxymetry machine which gives us information concerning its cardiac rate, oxygen saturation and breathing rhythm. When your animal awakens, we will be happy to call you to give you news about your friend.

Dentistry - Dental health problems may be serious for your animal. Dental infections can cause not only gum damage but also damage to other organs surch as the heart, kidneys and bladder. Tartar contains bacteria which can get into the blood stream and cause damage to vital organs.

During your annual visit with your animal, the veterinarian will examine its teeth and our technicians will be happy to give you all the information necesary to ensure that your animal will have good dental hygiene, thus preventing serious problems.

We also offer complete dental services: dental examination, cleaning, removal of tartar, teeth polishing, teeth extractions--all under general anaesthetic.

X-Rays - Recently purchased equipment ensures high quality x-rays, and with automatic development we are able to review the x-rays more quickly.
