Dentistry

Dental problems can be serious for your pet. Tooth infections can cause damage not only to the gums, but also to other vital organs such as the heart and kidneys. The bacteria found in tartar can enter the bloodstream and harm these organs.

For this reason, the veterinarian will examine your companion’s mouth and discuss possible treatment plans with you. For milder cases, there are different home dental care options: tooth brushing, dental chews, mouth rinses, water additives, dental diets, and more. For more severe cases, procedures under general anesthesia may be recommended: scaling, polishing, dental X-rays, extractions if needed, and removal of retained baby teeth.

  • Dental X-rays

  • Tooth extraction
